The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is a joint powers authority comprised of 22 partner cities and unincorporated areas providing fire, emergency medical/rescue, fire prevention and hazardous materials response services to residents with 60 fire stations throughout the county.

 

Position: The GIS Specialist performs a variety of paraprofessional duties related to GIS systems.  Incumbents will develop and maintain databases, perform research and analysis, and create and distribute maps. 

 

Required:  Associate’s Degree in Geography, GIS or related field and two years experience, or equivalent.  Desirable:  Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, GIS or related field, GIS certificate and two years working experience with ESRI products, ArcGIS, ArcInfo, AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience with SQL and/or Geodatabase management.
